Now we can call three more tool holders our own which will result in less changing of tools.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sandvik 63mm Milling head<\/strong><br \/>\nConsidering the size of the machine a larger head should also work&#8230;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Assorted plain milling cutters<\/strong><br \/>\nSomething you will just need from time to time&#8230; E.g. to cut slots for spindle blocks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also added a tool shelf for all the new SK40 tool holders. Unfortunately the shelf was made for DIN69871 tool holders which are optimized for automatic tool changers. We will add an E-stop and think about a variable safety shield.<\/p>\n<h3>T-nuts and T-slot covers<\/h3>\n<p>12mm slots on this size of machine theme a little small&#8230; Unfortunately this means that we cannot use certain industrial work-holding solutions nowadays found in industrial applications.<\/p>\n<p>Cleaning small slots can also be annoying&#8230; Therefore we just bought a set of slot covers with drain holes from Wabeco. How they will stand up against lubricant and chips is still to be tested. They were already damaged but got completely destroyed during a hoist operation.<\/p>\n<p>I anyways wanted to replace the power outlets&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>To cover the existing holes of the old sockets I designed a stainless steel sheet and got it laser cut. Despite having ordered standard deliver (up to 15 working days) my parts were in my hands within two days only.<\/p>\n<p>A perfect fit!
